Lots to cover today, kids.

What's up, Internet? I missed your faces.

Classes have started. I can already tell this semester is gonna be a lot harder than last semester.

First off, I'd like to say that Fox's new show Touch is amazing. I just watched the Pilot and I'm hooked. Seriously it's great to see Keifer Sutherland, not just back on TV, but with Fox. I missed him :'D Anyone who is interested, watch it RIGHT HERE! It's weird to see Keifer as someone other than Jack Bauer yelling the words "Damn it!" twice an episode. Its weird, but good.

All I wanna do is watch How I Met Your Mother but I don't have a Netflix account and The Walking Dead but it doesn't come back for another 2 weeks :(

To anyone who is reading this. Watch this video.
This right here. Love the song, love the video. I want to be friends with these people! I don't care if this video is actually promoting a clothing company and these people may all be paid money to smile and have fun. I can fake smile too! Just let me try this! I will GLADLY trade all my real friends for these fake hired friends so I can do that...
...
...
No offense, friends who are reading this.

Another video, same channel, not about a clothing company. This is just full of awesome.
I will GLADLY trade all my fake friends for my real friends again and try this out.

Skrillex > Homework. It has been decided.

"Some people believe that dinosaurs were lies, fed to us only to cover up the existance of Pokemon" - @WTFFacts on Twitter. I'm not sure if I want to bitch slap or high five those people who think that.

Wanna know what's awkward? Seeing your ex-girlfriend's tweets in your Twitter feed when you're not following her. Yep. Awkward. I was like "We haven't talked in two years, since when am I following her?!" But someone retweeted her. All is good.

Story time. So there's this kid. He shall remain anonymous, but we shall give him a nick name. His nick name is "He who is FRIGGIN EVERYWHERE!" Or "kid" for short. So this kid stalks me. I'm pretty sure. Everyone I know is pretty sure of it. He always seems to be where I am. Anytime I go to the DC he's there and invites himself to sit down at our table. "Mind if I join you guys? *sits*" "....sure...." Thing is that it's not just the DC. He finds me in Keene, anywhere in Keene, and anywhere in Nashua. He found my friends and I at the Holiday Stroll and leeched onto us. One time I saw him at the DC with a few people. Not sure if they were friends since he just sits with us and none of us are friends with him. So we see him sitting there. Later we see the people leave and he goes and grabs another plate of food and sits with another group of people. An hour later, they leave and he sits with my group of friends at my table. Its not abnormal for me to spend a while at the DC but he asked what time it was and I said "3" and he said "Wow I've been here for over two and a half hours! It sure is fun leeching onto people and annoying them" I may have paraphrased that last part.

Not done about him yet. The most annoying thing about him is that he's one of those people who thinks everything he says is funny, so he has to add his two cents after EVERY SENTENCE SOMEONE SAYS! Literally he needs to say something after every sentence. It's never funny. Ever. Just leads to more awkward silence. It's even come to a point where if we see him we all turn our heads, get up to get drinks, get more food, anything to not attract attention to us as a table where he could just sit down with a group of us. Are we bad people? Some may say yes, but if you say yes, you have clearly never met this kid.

I have a theory. Every single dubstep song's bass drops at around :51 seconds. Maybe not exactly, but pretty damn close. I'm not gonna post 1000 links, but some examples are:

Bar9 - "Strung Out"
Skrillex - "Equinox"
Flux Pavillion - "I Can't Stop"
Alex S. - Nyan Cat Dubstep Remix
A few others but it's 2 am and I don't feel like looking for more. Instead this is what dubstep sounds like to your parents:

I actually showed my parents dubstep. My dad wanted me to turn it off instantly. I posted to Facebook that I made my mom listen to it and she said "I just found a little dubstep on the bottom of my shoe..." :(

The Wii U (The new Wii) is coming out this year. It's gonna be a first day buy for me. Definitely going to the midnight release and there hasn't even been a date set yet. Anyone wanna come over the next morning to try it out? I'll make a Facebook event. You're all invited. Except for the kid.

GOOD NEWS! Without the consent of Kris, I officially announced to a small group of friends what Operation: Awe-Sauce is. This is good news because they all love the idea and it is still in the works. More details to come about what it exactly is soon.

FAR FROM FINISHED IS ON SPOTIFY! I LOVE FAR FROM FINISHED! I FORGOT I LOVED FAR FROM FINISHED! FAR FROM FINISHED, I LOVE!

I kinda like that band...

The weather is so nice. It should be the dead of winter. But snow is melting, I don't freeze to death when I walk outside. I like this.

I've come to the conclusion, and this is a very bold statement, that:

Twitter > Facebook > Google+ > Herpes > MySpace.
No one likes MySpace anymore.
But I like Twitter a lot more than Facebook. I like being able to follow who I want instead of feeling obligated to friend some people from high school (or accept the kid's friend request...)
Another thing, having a lot of Facebook friends doesn't matter. It is more impressive to have more Twitter followers though. (I almost included Tumblr into the mix but I don't think that really counts since I have like 14 followers on Tumblr and its not exactly a social networking site)

Kris made a YouTube channel that we share where we'll post both of our vlogs. Instead of having them on our own separate channels, we have them united as one. Hence the name TheBlorgsUnited. We each have some videos on our separate channels though so check those out.

Kris's YouTube: youtube.com/TheHighestStakes
My YouTube: youtube.com/coheed1992
Our vlogs: youtube.com/TheBlorgsUnited

Hint: TheBlorgsUnited might tie in with Operation: Awe-Sauce...

One final note: Earth is the third planet from the sun. Does that mean all of our problems and pains aren't first world pains, but really third world pains?

Second Semester, Son!

First day of classes. I only have 1 class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (Woo!) But 3 classes on Mondays ad Wednesdays, including an 8 am. (Boo...) I'm already done with my first day of classes though and its only noon time.

My first 8am I've ever had got cancelled today. Life is beautiful. The big man upstairs was probably like "Nick...he need's sleep. And it is done."

Kris posted in his blog (This one) that Will Friedle, aka Eric Matthews, is Ron Stoppable in Kim Possible. Awesome. Awesomer? He was Seifer in Kingdom Hearts II and he's a Thundercat in the new rebooted series. Much Awesomer.

One of Skrillex's new singles is called Bangarang. "@Skrillex Man that food was bangarang." I want to start using Bangarang in day-to-day conversation. "It's so bangarang how my first 8am was cancelled" "Portal 2 was so bangarang it won IGN's Game of the Year"

It's true. It was so bangarang that it won GOTY over Skyrim. That made my day that much more bangarang.

Ryan is letting me borrow Skyrim. My life as I know it will soon be dedicated to Skyrim. Why did I have to borrow it at the very beginning of the semester? Such a bad idea. Here are what all my friends have to say about me playing Skyrim:

"The seeds of your academic destruction have been planted." -Justin

"Men, tonight we lost one of our own...He was a good soldier, mostly..." -Kris

"You have no idea what you are in for my friend..." -Dave

"Boyfriend just aquired Skyrim...so long...it was nice while it lasted :'(" -Allie

But as Allie was working on homework in my room, I was playing Skyrim. It was fine until I got a tweet to my phone from her "@allielaffy: Work is boring. Just wanna watch @NickGarrity play Skyrim :(" I'm gonna try and get her to play it!

Last time we tried any game other than LittleBigPlanet or LEGO Harry Potter, she WANTED to try Nazi Zombies (My mind was blown) but she got wicked frustrated and rage quit :( Practice makes perfect...We'll keep trying.

I'm about to platinum Infamous. 4 trophies left.

If I had a nickel for everytime I yelled, not just said, but yelled the word FUCK while playing Modern Warfare 3 I could pay my tuition on my own. At least my prestige saved...

THE WALKING DEAD. HOLY SHIT. Allie and I just finished the last episode, the mid-season finale, and HOLY SHIT! I'll admit, I got misty eyed. It was intense. That's an understatement.

I've never really talked about food on here before. So here it goes. I love cooking. I love making dinner for Allie, not just Mac and Chesse or frying up a couple of grilled cheeses, but I like making nice big dinners. And just frying a hamburger isn't fun or anything either. I've made spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, the whole deal for her a few times. But I just like making food. I especially wanna try grinding up bacon and putting that into hamburger and make the most amazing cheeseburgers you'll ever have. When I heard about that idea from Carolynn I instantly wanted to try it.

After reading all of Kris's blog posts, I can't help but feel like my posts are so short compared to his. Either his are way too long or mine are too short. There are pros and cons to having them short though. If mine are shorter, I can post more posts and keep people's attention because I know it's hard reading a ridiculous amount of stuff and staying interested. I don't know, I don't necessarily mind how long my posts have been but it all depends on what's going on in my life. A lot going on? Long posts. Not much? Short posts. Might try and manage how much I write so if a lot is going on, I can write multiple, decent sized posts. We'll see in future posts how I feel about that.

Keene shtuff

Still not done packing. I goofed around instead of packing and it's biting me in the ass. It's 4:30 and I'm exhausted.

If Christians don't believe in evolution, then how do they explain Charmander becoming Charizard? Checkmate.

"Kris you are getting the manliest of hugs when I come to Ohio. No homo. Though I may grab your ass. Still no homo." -A text from me to Kris
"If you really want you can touch it." -His response. This is why we're best friends.

Speaking of Kris, check out his blog at winsiestocoolzaurs.blogspot.com. His last post is awesome.

I will openly admit this. At 2:30 this morning I was in my room, packing, and dancing around to Skrillex. Judge me. (I know you are.....) 8[

I'm running out of room to pack all of my clothes #firstworldpains

“Now, you see, duckies are good, because not only do they give you that non-threatening sense of security, but you can feed ‘em crackers and you can ride ‘em. See, duckies are the horsies of the ocean.” -Eric Matthews

Finally back in Keene. It's good to be back. The only bad thing is that it was SO FREAKING COLD OUT! Moving in was a pain in the ass because it was like 5 degrees outside and windy which didn't help. After three long trips, I'm finally moved in and ready to live out the next semester here.

But guess who forgot his pillows? This guy...

I finally prestiged in MW3 and I think it saved this time. Awesome.

Napoleon Dynamite, the worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life, is now an animated series. There are no words to describe my disappointment.
"@IGN: Napoleon Dynamite is back, but he's not as funny as you remember" THAT'S BECAUSE HE WAS NEVER FUNNY IN THE FIRST PLACE! If Napoleon Dynamite isn't the worst movie I've ever seen, Nacho Libre is.

When I grow up I want to be the dancing Bosstone of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. The one that dances the entire show. He also looks a lot like Crowley on Supernatural.

Kris got a silver trophy, like on Playstation, but a trophy in life. Not a real trophy. Only Kris, Adam, and Aneudys will get that reference...

2 blog posts within a week? BLASPHEMY! I know. That's why this one's kinda short.
The end.

Ready to go back to Keene

What's up internet.

For those who actually read my blog, this is for you.
sqrt(cos(x))*cos(200 x)+sqrt(abs(x))-0.7)*(4-x*x)^0.01, sqrt(9-x^2), -sqrt(9-x^2) from -4.5 to 4.5
Copy and paste that into Google.

I say that because I've been thinking lately what if I never wrote on here again. Would anyone care? I know it wouldn't be the end of the world and no one would be lost without it. I had these thoughts before I even made this blog actually. "Would anyone read this? Would anyone actually care about what I have to say?" A few things have sparked these questions in my head lately. Kris posted on his last blog that he has over 4,000 blog views. I have over 1,500. We made our blogs around the same time. Keep in mind this is my 34th post while he's had about 179 posts. But not just going off of blog views, on numerous occasions Kris will bring up his blog in conversation with our friends, then I'll bring up my blog. On more than 6 occasions have people said "Oh I don't read your blog" but they read Kris's. I'm not bashing him or his blog in any way, don't get me wrong, but it makes me think that I'm wasting my time writing all this when no one actually cares to read it. I know I have a few avid readers, and some people have told me they have read through my entire blog in one sitting instead of studying, (Talking about you, Kat) but I feel like only those few avid readers continually and consistently read this. I don't know. Maybe this is just me over thinking things, or I'm absolutely 100% right about how I'm wasting my time. Like I said, I just don't know.

Onto more cheerful news, I go back to Keene tomorrow. I'm very ready to go back. This month has flown by though. It just sucks that I go from working at Shaws in Keene to immediately working at Market Basket in Nashua only to immediately return to Shaws. One of my good friends told me the summer before I started working "Enjoy this summer, because you'll be working the rest of your life." It's so true. The only time I was not working was the first month of school in the fall, then I got hired at Shaws. I loved being unemployed. It was great. I'm sick of working. It sucks. Especially when I'm scheduled 30 hours a week when I told them I was only available to work less than 20 a week because I'm a full time student. Thankfully that doesn't happen anymore.

InFAMOUS 2 = Holy awesome. I beat it, collected all 300+ blast shards, all the dead drops, and I have all powers but 1. Now I need to play it as a bad guy to platinum it. Such a great game though, so much better than the first in every way.

On the other hand, FUCK YOU MODERN WARFARE 3! I was playing and got to level 78. I finally reached level 80, prestiged, and leveled up to about level 4 first prestige. I sign off, then a little while later, sign back in. It didn't save and I was back at level 78. HWHAT?! This happened to me 4 times. I'm currently half way through level 79 because that's the last place it saved. I've come to the conclusion that MW3 is not the best CoD anymore.

Black Ops > World at War > MW3. Kris would beg to differ.

I took a shift in the dairy department a few days ago because some kid got fired for stealing and needed someone to cover. I worked 9 hours and it flew by compared to the usual 3 - 4 hour shifts I work up front which seem to drag. I wanted to transfer after that one day. I talked to the department manager after my shift and offered to take any shift if he ever needed me and he offered me a transfer! (Woo!) But I told him I go away to college and he doesn't want anymore college kids in his department. (Boo!) He already has 5 guys going to college so once a semester starts his department would be nothing. Understandable. Disappointed but understandable.

The snow. I don't miss it.

29 of my Facebook friends "Like" Nickelback. My friends list is about to get 29 people smaller.

I miss the Bosstones concert. I want to go again. Someone make it happen. Please? Please??? 8[
I wanna hear Dicky Barrett yell "WE ARE THE MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES FROM BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS!"

I think I mentioned last post that Suncooked played right before the Bosstones came out. Here's a video of them from our show playing a cover of the Bosstones' Storm Hit. I can't stop listening to this. Allie said this was probably her favorite part of the show.

THE WALKING DEAD. AMAZING SHOW. I can't stop watching it. Allie and I watch it together and we're addicted. We flew through every available episode except for one in a matter of less than a week. It's amazing how emotionally attached you get with all of the characters, whether you love or hate them (Shane....) And I love love love the beginning theme. It's epic. So much epic. So much epic packed into 30 seconds.

The Big Bang Theory. HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS SHOW BEFORE? Every episode is so funny. If you don't watch it, watch it. That's an order.

Also, Friends. I'm starting to get hooked on that show too. I've had a lot of free time to start watching TV again.

Pokemon the TV series is just as cool if not cooler now then it was when I was a kid. Rewatching the first few episodes is still awesome. Like I still feel bad when Misty doesn't want anything to do with Caterpie, I still smile when Caterpie is talking to Pikachu about evolving, and I still root for Ash to win in all of his battles. This may just be the inner 90s kid in me or the fact that I've loved Pokemon since the very very beginning, but I love this show.

I also love the PokeRap. WHO DOESN'T?
Charmeleon! WARTORTLE!

I miss Boy Meets World. I was watching clips of it on YouTube at 4 am the other night. My favorite character is still Eric. And I feel like we all need a Mr. Feeny in our lives. Mr. Feeny is the man. I want a Mr. Feeny :(

MR. FEENY!

Also, my entire family has come to the conclusion that my house is haunted. That's cool too.

Tuesday, January 3, 2012

Oh, it's you. It's been a long time.

Jesus it's been a while since I've blogged. The last time I blogged was days before Christmas. Now it's after New Years. Hope everyone had a great Christmas though.

A lot to cover! Weeks of eventful events to talk about STARTING WITH Christmas. I got an HDTV and it's awesome. Got gift cards so I bought a few games, and spent the day in Boston with some family. Nothing super exciting.

Why has the weather been so nice lately? A few days ago at work I was working outside without a jacket on... I've been going outside most other days with just a flimsy sweatshirt on. This is madness. It snows 8 inches in Keene two days before Halloween but coming into January I can walk outside with no jacket? I'm not complaining at all, I freaking hate snow, but this is strange.

I still can't get to bed until after 3. I keep staying up until as late as 5:30. This is becoming a problem.

I did all of my Christmas shopping in one night in just under 3 hours.
Achievement unlocked.
New personal record for me. Best part was I got good deals and got everyone really good gifts.

Kind of speaking of achievements, I got my 500th trophy on PlayStation Network. Watching all of the tutorials in Create mode on LittleBIGPlanet 2. So boring going through all of them though.

Allie got me some Magic cards and a Tommy 20 Nerf gun. You know, for when the zombie apocalypse hits Keene again this semester. Those were some of my favorite gifts because they were from her. AWWWWWWW I know.

A few days after Christmas I went to the funnest show I've ever been to. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones had their 14th annual Hometown Throwdown at the House of Blues in Boston and it was amazing. Kris decided he didn't want to go so Lindsay went with Allie and I. We got there a half hour before the show started and walked right up to the front. The guard rail was full of people, but Lindsay found a small sliver of space she fit into. After the first bad we squeezed all of us up to the very front row somehow and stayed there all night. The Have-Nots were the first band and they were sick! Very punk, reminded me of Far From Finished. Then The Slackers came on, very energetic Ska band who were great too. Kind of rare to have every opening band be good before the main performers.

A band called Suncooked came on right before the Bosstones and played one song. They dressed up as carolers and played a song called Storm Hit. Ball of Confusion by The Temptations came on once they left until the Bosstones took the stage.

Best part of the show though was that Dicky Barrett, the lead singer, acknowledged my existence. He walked over to our side of the stage while he was singing and I started to raise and lower my arms as if I was bowing down to him. He looked at me, then stood proud and just let me praise him as he smiled. HE NOTICED ME! That automatically makes any cool story you have not as cool.

Overall though the show was amazing. It was the funnest show I've been to. Not the best show, that goes to Coheed. But the funnest show. Does that make sense?

That night Allie fell asleep in my bed and it took me an hour and a half to wake her up to get her to drive home since it was like 3:30. I ended up singing MMB lyrics to her. "You gotta go! It's time for you to leave. You've worn out your welcome. It's time for you to go somewhere else! You gotta go! This is not your address, you've worn out your welcome, it's time for you to go." She thought it was cute.

I've come to realize that I have a man crush on Robert Downey Jr. Kris, Aneudys, Jake, Kevin and I watched Charlie Bartlett, amazing movie, and I realized that I loved him in that, Iron Man 1 & 2, Good Night and Good Luck, among others. He's up there on my list of man crushes with Marky Mark Wahlberg, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon.

Rule #1 of the Bartol house: Don't die.
Rule #1.A of the Bartol house: Don't be the cause of someone breaking Rule #1. (Aka don't kill anyone)
Rule #1.A.i of the Bartol house: Don't eat Jake Nutting.

Jake-ing (v) 1. The act of sucking at a video game. See "sucking" "being terrible"
Nick-ing (v) 1. The act of absolutely beasting through a video game level when all other players on your team have run out of lives and it's the last parts of the last level of the entire game therefore practically beating the game yourself. See "wrecking face" "being awesome" "showing the game who's boss"

Aneudys got Kris and I copies of inFAMOUS 2 for Christmas even though he didn't need to get me anything and I told him not to. But I got him a copy of Horrible Bosses on Blu-ray in return so we're even steven.

I've been jumping around from inFAMOUS 2 to Borderlands to God of War: Origins Collection. Those have been taking up most of my gaming time lately.

The first boss in Borderlands is named Nine-toes. (Also, he has 3 balls.) The more you know.

Two nights ago I said goodbye to my buddy, my pal, my fellow brawlski, Kris. As Kris, Kevin and I were sitting in my car outside his house saying goodbye before Kris goes back to school, his neighbor across the street decided to take a VERY powerful flashlight and shine it in my car FROM THEIR HOUSE to see if anyone was in the car. We were. It was creepy. Then the light stopped and they just stood in the window. A silhouette in their window. Watching us. at 3 in the morning.

I am Jack's colon. I give Jack cancer. I kill Jack.
You Don't Know Jack.
Good game. Played it with the broskis.
It thought me that a "mudslapper" is a slang term for a fart. The more you know.
We also beat LittleBIGPlanet and LittleBIGPlanet 2 within 3 hours of each other.

I'm ready to go back to Keene. Now.

Had to say goodbye to my Gyarados profile picture. Not Pokemon Profile Picture December anymore :(

On the 28th it was Allie and I's 18 month anniversary. I took her out to dinner at Fridays. It's hard to believe that I've been with her for a year and a half. Feels like yesterday I was talking to her on Facebook until 4am flirting with her after meeting her and just getting to know her before I saw her again. It's been the best 18 months of my life.

That's about all I got for ya. See you in another month when I have enough to talk about for a new post.
