The End of the Semester

Another Monday, another blog day.

Life's been busy busy busy with this being the last week of classes. I can sense the stress whenever I talk to someone. My sociology professor asked the class today "Ready for semester break?" and all the sighs of relief and YES's I heard make it clear that we're all ready to go home. Finals suck. I want to go home to hang with all my Nash peeps.

I bought a Nintendo DS! I went on the Keene State Class of 2015 Facebook page (which has turned into Craigslist: Keene with everyone selling stuff) and someone had an original DS, Mario Kart DS, and Pokemon Sapphire for $30. I commented saying "Make it $20 and you got a deal." I was kind of surprised when he sent me a message to my inbox saying "Ok, only because you have a Gyarados as your profile picture." BOOYAH!  I was honestly not expecting that to work. I was expecting him to come back at 30 and I would have accepted. But I gladly accepted! Asked him if it worked perfectly, he said yes. Only problem is that the top section of the DS where the top screen is is sort of broken and falling off. Nothing major, and it doesn't affect the way the games play, so I can deal with it. I went into Harrison's Comic Store and saw a Gameboy Advance for $40 (without a battery cover it was $35) and Pokemon Sapphire for another $20 so I'll be more than happy to take this.

Speaking of Pokemon, I brought a couple of Gameboys back to Keene for Allie and I. She gets Pokemon Yellow (Technically Special Pikachu Edition for those of you who feel the need to correct me saying Yellow isn't the proper name) and I get Pokemon Blue (Technically Pokemon Blue Version...shut up) but I'm going to be playing Sapphire (Version) more than Blue. I've been playing Blue since I was 7. Never played Sapphire. Blue is one of my favorite games of all time. Top 5. But I'd rather play a new version first.

Speaking of Pokemon and repeating segues, everyone check out this web comic called Super Effective. If you've ever played a Pokemon Gameboy game you will love this. There were many times where I was dying laughing. Click this link:

Super Effective

Beat Modern Warfare 3. Great campaign.

In Criminal Justice and we're talking about juveniles and the death penalty at the moment. My Professor is saying "No one under the age of 16 can be subject to the death penalty" which is fine and everything. He then went on to say this: "It doesn't matter if someone under 16 kills the pope...or someone more important...like Lady Gaga." I almost laughed out loud. It was clearly a joke though, and I found it very funny. Side note: Not a Gaga fan. (Thought she had a penis for about 6 - 8 months after I found out who she was.)

I have a goatee now. It's different. Weird. I shaved because No Shave November was over. As I was shaving I wanted to see how it looked. Right as I finished shaving it to a goatee my razor died and I was gonna go back to finish the job after dinner. Allie laughed at me for a good 3 - 4 minutes straight when she saw me. Then Virginia couldn't look at me without laughing. Other people have looked at me, smiled and said "You know No Shave November is over right?" Thanks for the update. I need to shave it off. I don't mind it but if people are just going to laugh at me I don't want it. After No Shave November, I'm gonna be shaving more often. Having a beard wasn't bad but I'm good with being smooth for a while.

I hit 3,000 tweets. Woo.

They played Everlong in the DC at lunch. It's my favorite song of all time. I was a little excited. Especially since it was the acoustic version. I like the original better but it's still amazing.

I've been waking up at 2pm every single day except for today since Thanksgiving break. It's depressing when you're awake for 2 hours then the sun goes down and I can't get to sleep until around 4am. I'm practically nocturnal.

Finally I need to address something. I've been told that my language that I use on here (i.e. using the words 'prick' and 'fuck') is unnecessary to get my point across. I was told the same thing about my Facebook, that I shouldn't use that kind of language on there. I stopped on Facebook. I've been censoring myself and making sure I don't use that kind of language. But this isn't Facebook. My readers, however many of you there are, choose to read what I have to say and what I write. If you don't like the way I write don't read. It won't offend me if you stop reading. I know a ton of people who don't read this, sad but true. I don't care. If you don't want me offending you, don't read this. I'm going to write about whatever is on my mind. That's why I started this. That's the reason why I write these blogs. This is my public journal. I write things that are on my mind because I can. People just choose to read.

Otherwise keep reading! Even though quite a few people have told me they don't read it, those of you who do, I appreciate it.

Til next time.
