Wanna hear a joke? I have free time.

Not one of my best one-liners. What's up guys?

I'm working 28 hours this week...on top of all of my classes...this sucks. I asked for less than 20 hours a week and they pile me with 28 on my second week. Lucky me, I have midterms coming soon too. The worst part of it all though is that I won't have any time to play Zombies with Justin and Ryan!

I know what you're all thinking. "Nick, how could the world be so cruel?" I know, I know. It'll be rough but I think I'll pull through. I'll find time to kick some Nazi ass, because if I make school and work my priorities, the Nazis win.

So Shaws...not that bad actually. Fairly simple, easy work, but I just need to get used to using the equipment like the slicers and the scales for the food. Biggest problem is probably going to be learning all of the codes for all of the items. It's just going to take some practice but that's it. I'm just glad I have a job. It sucks having less than $40 in my bank account. College life, am I right? Never thought I'd be perfectly happy with minimum wage since I've been making upwards of $8 an hour for over a year and a half. Money is money, so fuck yeah minimum wage!

Bad news though: I'm working Friday and Saturday all day long. How is this bad news? It's Pumpkin Fest. I don't work til midnight or anything and I should have time to go out at night, but I'm not sure how much energy I'll have after working such long shifts. Mountain Dew may be my partner in crime this weekend keeping me awake.

I've been craving Sarku for so long now. I used to always go to the mall with Lindsay, get my number 1 (chicken teriyaki) with white rice, no vegetables, and sauce. Is that too much to ask for? The stir fry here at Keene with chicken teriyaki just isn't the same. Don't get me started on the talks Lindsay and I would have! You know that line that people are afraid to cross when talking with someone that could be considered inappropriate? Yeah that line doesn't exist between us. That or we literally cross that line every time we talk. But that's just us and I wouldn't change it. I can't wait until November break so when everyone goes back to Nashua, I can go to Sarku with Lindsay and hang out. I miss that.

I'm actually looking forward to going back to Nashua for Thanksgiving break so I can see Lindsay, Kris Bartol, Kevin Le, and all of my other Nashua peeps. I miss them. I miss going to the movies with Kris and Kevin then staying up until 2 am playing Rock Band, having movie marathons with everyone, Sarku with Lindsay, Zombies with Kris, and just hanging out with my friends. I'm making a lot of friends here at Keene but I do miss my friends in Nashua who have all gone away. That's why I'm excited for Thanksgiving. The turkey is merely a perk.

Alright that's about it for this post. I'm thinking I'm going to post another post today since I've been spamming Twitter. I'll probably take my thoughts I said on Twitter and transfer that here. So if you don't follow me you can still know what's going on. That's what I usually do but I haven't really mentioned anything I posted on Twitter in this post.

I'll end this with a shameless plug
Follow me on Twitter! @NickGarrity

Til next time
